About 1 km west of Esch-sur-Sûre lies the Upper Sûre Lake. In addition to the drinking water supply and the production of electricity, the lake today serves as a much-used recreational area.
The bathing beaches around the lake invite you to relax.
A variety of water sports are possible in protection zone 2: swimming, canoeing, diving, surfing, sailing and much more.
The ticket is meant to book a place at the beach. Sports activities around the lake without spending time at the beach area (for example hiking, canoeing, etc.) are still permitted without a ticket.
The following rules apply on the bathing beaches / in the water:
- Motor boats are not allowed.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beaches or in the water.
- Camping on the site is prohibited.
- The beaches should be kept clean: Litter belongs in the rubbish bin.
- Barbecues are only allowed in the designated areas. You can find permanently installed barbecue areas in Insenborn at the beach "Fussefeld" Plage 2.

Everything very welle organised, parking, path indication. There is also the Belvedere. The beach was very clean, I really enjoyed it. There are 10 miutes walk to reach the beach, this is why it's quiter than other beaches on Upper Sure Lake.

Very nice place for naturism (towards the left end of the beach). Entrance to the water is not ideal, and some water shoes would be good.

Le lieu est magnifique, calme et très propre. Aucune difficulté pour s'inscrire, ce que nous avons fait directement sur place. Un endroit à recommander même si on aimerait qu'il reste secret. Cependant, nous voudrions souligner que certaines personnes très égoïstes et sans gêne et qui profitaient de la plage à Insenborn partageaient leur musique techno pour tous. Nous l'avons entendue depuis le belvédère jusque sur la plage de Burfelt durant au moins 1h. Ne serait-il pas possible de règlementer les lieux à ce sujet? Nous sommes dans un parc naturel et il va de soi qu'on s'attend à la quiétude...
