About 1 km west of Esch-sur-Sûre lies the Upper Sûre Lake. In addition to the drinking water supply and the production of electricity, the lake today serves as a much-used recreational area.
The bathing beaches around the lake invite you to relax.
A variety of water sports are possible in protection zone 2: swimming, canoeing, diving, surfing, sailing and much more.
The ticket is meant to book a place at the beach. Sports activities around the lake without spending time at the beach area (for example hiking, canoeing, etc.) are still permitted without a ticket.
The following rules apply on the bathing beaches / in the water:
- Motor boats are not allowed.
- Dogs are not allowed on the beaches or in the water.
- Camping on the site is prohibited.
- The beaches should be kept clean: Litter belongs in the rubbish bin.
- Barbecues are only allowed in the designated areas. You can find permanently installed barbecue areas in Insenborn at the beach "Fussefeld" Plage 2.

Great place to visit. Everything is beautiful in this part of the world but this sure takes the cake. Lot of activities to do. Swimming, Kayaking, picnic..

Not like: the people who do not respect the rules: dogs on the beach and open fires. Cars parked just anywhere It seems to me that some people come here because it is a free for all.no police so do what you like. Even if loud music is not part of the rules, it gets annoying if you sit between two guys competing for playing crappy songs louder and louder. Like: scenery, water, sun.De Stau! Next time i will pick Rommwiss i guess. Or you might add loud music to the rules?
