On Saturdays, Schuppi takes you on discovery tour of the Slate Museum and mine. Carve your slate and get busy with crafty decoration techniques!
Important! Remember to wear good, hiking type shoes, and bring a jacket for the visit of the underground.

Discover the Slate Museum and its underground gallery.
Every Saturday mornings, starting at 10 o ‘clock a.m., we give child-friendly tours and workshops to explore the trade of a slate-maker and cut your own slate.
The creative part of the visit is to decorate your freshly cut slate using one of several techniques suggested by Schuppi:
- Engraving
- Dots
- Airbrush
- and other great SURPRISES!
It is an ideal Saturday activity for the whole family from the age of 4 upwards. Good, sturdy shoes and a jacket are a must to visit the underground gallery. (temperatures of 9°C / 48°F all year round)
