The Éislek is a true paradise for anglers, as its lakes and watercourses are full of trout, pike, pikeperch, eel, carp and a large variety of other types of fish. The license is compulsory for fishing in Luxembourgish inland waters as well as in waters bordering Germany.
You can request and receive your fishing license on MyGuichet.lu in just a few minutes.
Different types of licenses are available depending on the fishing zones and their period of validity.
The inland water fishing license allows you to fish at the following places:
- in the Upper Sûre Lake in the zone II
- the river Sûre, from the mouth of the Alzette in Ettelbruck to the mouth of the Our in Wallendorf
The cross-border water fishing license allows you to fish at the following places:
- the river Our, from the border triangle near Lieler to Wallendorf (including the Vianden reservoir)
For angling on the Vianden reservoir (from April 1 to November 30), an annual permit is required. A two-week permit (from June 1 to November 30) can be bought at the Tourist Office (from June 1 to November 30).
