MTB trail Vianden
Start: Bus station Vianden
After tarmac paths, the route enters an untouched countryside leading to the upper reservoir of the river Our Hydroelectric Power Station run by the „Société Electrique de l’Our“ (SEO). Apart from the steps in the last part of the route, you will face two narrow climbs, one which is hardly passable by bike. These climbs are very slippery in the rain. Be careful!
From the bus station in Vianden, ride direction Bettel. Go down to Fouhren and Walsdorf to arrive at the upper reservoir of the SEO. After crossing the main road, you leave tarmac surfaces and pass two fine viewpoints where you go down to Bivels and along the reservoir up to the “Machine No. 10”. You have to get off the bicycle for the steps. Small paths lead you to the Notre Dame Chapel Bildchen. On the way to Vianden, you ride in front of the Castle and return to the bus station, your earlier point of departure..
