Capital of the Ardennes: this was the title conferred to the town of Wiltz by Prince Henry of the Netherlands in 1866. Located in the heart of the Luxembourg Ardennes, the region Éislek, you will witness the most stunning aspect of Wiltz with its Whit Monday Broom Festival. In summer, the monumental Renaissance staircase of the castle, dating back to the 10th century, serves as stage for the famous Festival of Wiltz. The town also boasts a tradition of several centuries in the art of brewing beer: this can be witnessed at the Wiltz brewery and the National Museum of the Art of Brewing. Wiltz is also an international gathering place for scouts, as testified by the One Penny Monument erected in honour of Baden-Powell.
