1,000 years of industrial history
The oldest mill in the Grand Duchy has nearly 1,000 years of history under its wheel. It is located in Asselborn, 8km west of Clervaux in the valley of the Trëtterbaach stream, known as the “Valley of Peace”. It now houses a small museum showing how a mill like this used to work and what kind of tools were used here. The history of the mill can be traced back to the year 1036. The mill and the water wheel may be put into operation at the request of visitors.
