A group of men and women defy gravity, unfolding the art of the circus amidst dust and concrete, accompanied by music, singing, and dance—an expression of their hope for a better future. In this whirlwind of movement and transformation, women break free with remarkable strength and determination from oppressive traditions imposed by a society in transition.
With YONGOYELY, director Yann Ecauvre and Kerfalla Camara, artistic director of Circus Baobab, continue their creative collaboration and present a powerful work on the emancipation of Guinean and African women.
