Milleweekend 2025 at the Rackésmillen: two days of celebration, music and local delights
The Rackésmillen invites you to the Mill Festival on Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 August 2025. Set in a natural and authentic environment, the event returns in a two-day format, with a revamped program focused on conviviality, local flavours and outdoor relaxation.
Two days of activities for the whole family
Throughout the weekend, the Mill Festival will offer a lively and family-friendly program. Visitors can explore the site through guided tours of the mill (at 10:30 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. each day), take part in a delicious apple turnover workshop., or simply enjoy the open-air spaces set up for games and relaxation. Children can have fun in the bouncy castle or in the meadow, while those with a sweet tooth enjoy a treat at the waffle stand run by the Fraen & Mammen association (on Sunday).
The highlight of the event will be the SummerOwend on Saturday evening – a musical open-air evening. From 8:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.., the mill's terrace will be transformed into a cozy summer guinguette, with live music by the duo "Just About – a musical duo", soft lighting, and a laid-back atmosphere to enjoy the evening until nightfall. Elya Craig and Sven Sauber form a gentle, harmonious duo whose voices and instruments create a unique musical experience.
A culinary event celebrating ancient grains
The 2025 edition will highlight products from the mill and local grains, creatively prepared by our chefs: buckwheat kniddelen with caramelized pork belly, fried chicken flat burger with Hupperdange cheese, calzone made with spelt flour, ham and mushrooms, fresh pappardelle with smoked Our trout, or a trio of cold grain-based salads (buckwheat and beetroot, pearl barley and goat cheese, melon and cured ham). Homemade desserts will round out the offer – and kids won’t be left out!
VëloViaNorden
During the weekend, cycling will be in the spotlight with the popular VëloViaNorden, a family-friendly bike tour through the north of the country. For the occasion, the main road will be closed to traffic and diversions will be in place. For hikers, the Rackésmillen remains accessible from the Drauffelt (4 km) and Wilwerwiltz (2 km) train stations via the Escap’Ardenne trail.
