There is a quiet heat to being human ― a slow-burning radiance shaped by sensitivity, proximity, attention. Warm Matter explores this human condition, reframing warmth not only as comfort, but as an act of generosity and soft resistance against indifference. Developed through the dialogue between Indra Marcinkevičienė and Vilmantas Marcinkevičius, the exhibition reflects on warmth as a human capacity that must be sustained rather than assumed. Indra Marcinkevičienė’s works introduce tactility and chromatic intensity into the space. Warmth circulates through material presence and gesture, creating a sense of openness and emotional proximity. Vilmantas Marcinkevičius’s paintings offer a counterpoint through stillness and psychological concentration. His figures appear in suspended states, neither resolved nor dramatic, shaped by subtle transparency and tonal restraint. Together, the works form a cocoon of heightened sensibility, where vivid expression and introspection coexist without hierarchy. The exhibition proposes warmth as a conscious choice ― one that resists withdrawal and disengagement, and instead affirms sensitivity as a viable, resilient way of being in the world.
