Ausgestattet nur mit seiner Stimme und Gitarre bringt Bert Marijsse (Frontmann der Bluesband The Nightcallers) seit 2009 rohe und ehrliche Musik auf jede Bühne. Sein Sound ist tief verwurzelt in den Traditionen des Delta Blues, Hill Country Blues und Piedmont-Fingerpickings. Er spielt eigene Kompositionen und persönliche Interpretationen, beeinflusst von Legenden wie Mississippi Fred McDowell, R.L. Burnside, Lightning Hopkins, Rev. Gary Davis, John Hurt und anderen.
