De Brautuerm – das Symbol der Diekircher Industriegeschichte vom Verschwinden bedroht

Discover the history of the Brautuerm and learn why this iconic symbol of Diekirch’s brewing industry is now under threat of disappearing.

The association “Musée brassicole des deux Luxembourg asbl” will travel to Diekirch on 17 and 18 October 2026 with its 1974 Zapwoon and will host an information stand opposite the entrance of the brewery. The public will receive a free brochure presenting the full history of the brewhouse tower, from the acquisition of the land by the brewery and the construction of the first lager cellars, to the building of the tower and the bottling plant. The final part of the brochure examines the preparation of a dossier intended to justify the inevitable demolition of the last remaining brewery buildings on the railway station site.

Saturday 17 and Sunday 18 October 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Opposite the entrance of the brewery.
