Since August 31st, the Éislek region can officially call itself a "Leading Quality Region - Best of Europe". This European Hiking Federation award is based on various criteria and attests the quality of our hiking trails.
A total of 200 hiking trails, including 18 Éislek Pied.
The Éislek hiking region offers trails of varying difficulty and length. The 18 newly designed Éislek Pied mostly pass through unspoilt nature, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and on near-natural surfaces. Clear signposting, excellent connections to public transport and numerous places to stop for refreshments are further assets of the region.
The German Hiking Association, which has accompanied the region for three years, writes: "The certificate puts the award-winning region into the Champion’s League of all hiking regions, an all-round carefree package for hikers. Service, public transport, accommodation or trails: everything is right here."

Hiking fans can get ten new topographical hiking maps and as well as the Éislek Wanderlust brochure, with 45 selected tour tips, and Éislek Moments, a brochure with photo inspiration, from the tourist information offices and the Office Régional du Tourisme (ORT) Éislek.
