Join historian Frank Rockenbrod as you explore the Schumannseck memorial site and its eventful history. Deep in the forest, numerous remnants—including trenches, bomb craters, and so-called “foxholes”—still bear witness to the fierce fighting of the Battle of the Ardennes in the winter of 1944–45.
Along the approximately three-kilometer-long memorial trail, you’ll gain fascinating insights into the events of that time as well as the fates of the soldiers and the local population.
