The solar-powered boat offers a quiet and environmentally friendly way to explore Luxembourg’s largest drinking water reservoir.
The solar-powered boat on the Upper Sûre Lake offers a particularly peaceful and eco-friendly way to explore Luxembourg’s largest drinking water reservoir. Guided nature tours set off from Insenborn, combining stunning views with fascinating facts about the flora and fauna, the history of the reservoir and the protection of drinking water. The tour, which lasts around two hours, also takes in secluded side arms and includes a stop at the Burfelt Forest Discovery Centre.
Those wishing to combine the nature experience with a walk can opt for the amphibian tour. This combines the boat trip with an approximately 8 km hike along the left bank of the reservoir, allowing you to circumnavigate the reservoir on foot and by solar-powered boat in 3.5 to 4 hours. To do this, simply follow the ‘ES 10’ signposts.
The tours are available from 1 May to 1 October.
Booking is required.
