Description
The Uewersauer route is accessible on 23 and 24 August and starts at either Goebelsmühle station or the youth hostel in Lultzhausen. The highlights include the castle in Esch-Sauer and the Upper Sûre Lake in Lultzhausen.
At 38 kilometres (out and back), the Uewersauer route is perfect for a family outing. This tour starts at Goebelsmühle station (or at the youth hostel in Lultzhausen) and runs alongside the Sûre river to the attractive town of Esch-sur-Sûre – taking in Dirbach, the two mills “Boukelsser Millen” and “Toodlermillen”, and the “Heischtergronn”. A tour of the castle, a walk around this small, historic town and a visit to the cloth factory are all must-do activities for your stop in Esch-sur-Sûre. The tour continues past the huge dam to Lultzhausen and the reservoir, where the chance to cool off is sure to do you good.
Entertainment, food and drinks at the “Teifelslee”, as well as food and refreshments at the campgrounds along the way and in the youth hostel in Lultzhausen.

Directions
From Goebelsmühle Station, the tour follows the banks of the Sauer the whole way. Passing Dirbach, the “Boukelsser Millen”, the “Toodlermillen” and the “Heischtergronn” you finally reach Esch-Sauer. From there, it’s only a few kilometres to Lultzhausen.
If you start the tour in Lultzhausen, the same route is travelled in the other direction.

Even if you’re on roads that are quiet with little traffic: adhere to the rules of the road and keep in mind that residents or farmers might cross your path.
