The US Memorial located in the municipal parc of Diekirch river remembers a number of US units that were present in and around the city, September 1944 – February 1945.
The mural in Ettelbruck is painted in typical shades of white and blue, depicting mermaids swimming through a pattern of spirals and stars. Positioned near the river, the artwork incorporates elements connected to water in a mystical way.
