Schäsbierg viewpoint

Schäsbierg viewpoint in Bavigne is only accessible on foot and invites hikers to discover the surrounding nature and, above all, the Upper Sûre lake.

The best way to reach this great spot is via the local hiking trails ES 10 and LH 8, the Éislek Pad Bavigne or the western section of the Circuit du Lac.

The viewpoint is located at around 385 metres above sea level and offers an impressive panorama over a loop of the Upper Sûre lake. A hike there is particularly worthwhile in autumn, when the deciduous trees glow in bright colours and transform the landscape into a colourful spectacle. The place is also a favourite with photographers due to its unique natural backdrop.

Urban Art by Lisa Junius - Cité Waarkdall
This artwork by Luxembourgish artist Lisa Junius is a unique bonus on the tour. Located in Warken, about 2.3km from Ettelbruck (~32 minutes on foot), it lies just outside the main route — but it’s well worth the walk. Here, Lisa painted a large snake silhouette directly onto stone, using her signature blue tones and symbolic motifs. The result is a peaceful, powerful presence in nature — blending art, mythology, and femininity in her characteristic dreamlike style.
