Description
Bicycle Route of the North: Troisvierges-Huldange (PC 21) starts in Troisvierges and runs near the "Schmëtt" into Belgian territory.
This section of the "Vennbahn" runs between Troisvierges (L) and Lengeler (B) and was built between 2012 and 2013. This Interreg IVA project "Vennbahn" supports the construction of a bicycle route connecting Aachen via Raeren, Monschau, Waimes, St. Vith and Burg-Reuland with Troisvierges on the route of the former railway line, called "Vennbahn". It runs through three countries and has a total length of 125 km, of which 7 km are on the territory of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. On the Luxembourg side, the upgrade of the "Vennbahn" between Troisvierges and Lengeler (B) took place in two phases, namely phase 1 between Troisvierges and Goedange with a length of 4.2 km and phase 2 between Goedange and the Belgian border with a length of 2.8 km, on the route of which is the 800 m long border tunnel Huldange / Lengeler.
