Description
This 5 km circular walk near Asselborn combines an experience of nature with exciting insights into modern nature conservation work.
The starting point is the Asselborn mill. From here, the trail leads through the Trëtterbaach valley to Léresmillen. The landscapes are shaped by typical wet meadows, extensive pastures and renaturalised sections of stream.
Information boards along the route provide interesting facts about the LIFE Éislek project, which is committed to the preservation of typical habitats in the north of Luxembourg. The renaturalised Trëtterbaach is particularly impressive. Over 300 metres of the stream have been restored to a near-natural riverbed. This not only promotes biodiversity, but also improves flood protection.
The route is easy to walk and therefore also suitable for families with older children - ideal for anyone who wants to experience nature and learn more about the conservation of species-rich habitats at the same time.
