At Ourdaller Producers, where oils, mustard and more are made
A glimpse into the production of regional products: at Ourdaller, you can discover how oils, mustard and more are made from local ingredients, with a tasting included.
At Ourdaller, everything revolves around regional raw materials and their processing. For over 25 years, farmers in the Our Nature Park have been growing mustard, rapeseed, sunflowers and buckwheat on their own fields. These are then processed into high-quality food products in the workshops in Kalborn.
The tour begins with a brief overview of the products’ origins and how the producers work. Afterwards, it’s straight into the production area: step by step, visitors learn how oils, mustard and other specialities are made from regional ingredients.
The tour takes place mainly indoors and is not affected by the weather. Only short walks outdoors lead from one production facility to the next.
At the end, various products are sampled, from mustard and oils to other specialities. Small dishes, such as cakes, also demonstrate how versatile the products are in the kitchen.
Those who wish can then visit the shop and explore the products on site.
The tour lasts around two hours and is aimed primarily at adults. Suitable for groups of 10 or more.
