Houfëls

Where? Boulaide

The ‘Houfëls’ (high rock) viewpoint near Boulaide offers a breathtaking view over the Sûre Valley and the Upper Sûre.

At an altitude of 457 metres, there is a pavilion that was built by the Hames family in 1934. Although the pavilion can only be viewed from the outside today, the place still invites you to take a break with a picnic and a panoramic view.

The viewpoint is located on several hiking trails, including the Éislek Pad Boulaide, the Autopédestre Boulaide and the Natur Pur? trail. It can also be reached by car.

For history buffs, there are two historical guns from the Second World War to discover at the rest area behind the pavilion: a German 8.8 cm PAK (anti-tank gun) and an American 155 mm cannon.

Urban Art by Daniel Mac Lloyd
This mural blend nature and emotion through color. The green section represents the Arboretum, a peaceful place of growth and life. The blue part symbolizes the nearby stream, bringing calm and movement. Together, they reflect Ettelbruck’s natural beauty and the connection between land and water.
