Description
This themed trail in Ettelbruck invites hikers to combine nature and literature in a special way. Over around 5 kilometres, it leads through the Sûre Valley and encourages walkers to rethink the relationship between humans and their environment.
At 14 stations, hikers encounter texts by well-known Luxembourg authors. 18 literary excerpts show how diverse nature can be described and experienced. The focus is not only on poetic landscape depictions, but also on critical analyses of climate change and human interaction with the environment.
The trail starts either at the Patton monument or at the ‘Op der Haard’ car park and leads past several viewpoints.
The project was developed by eight partner organisations, including the University of Luxembourg, the Centre national de littérature and the city of Ettelbruck.
A literary nature experience that makes people think and encourages them to move at the same time.
