Description
Through fields and forests, you reach the Trëtterbaach and the Aasselburermillen, where you can gather new strength before the final climbs.
The starting point of the Auto-Pédestre Boxhorn is located in the town center. Across fields, it leads into the Dentzerbësch towards Maulusmühle.
At the easternmost part of the walk are a World War II plane wreck and the graves of the crew members. The plane, an English Hudson FK803, was shot down on March 21, 1945. On board were four crew members and three Belgian secret agents. Only the pilot survived the crash.
The walk then continues towards Sassel to then follow the Trëtterbaach to the Aasselburermillen. There you can visit the Water Mill Museum and the Museum Relais Postal. Furthermore, the old mill offers a great place to stop for refreshments.
Finally, it goes slightly uphill back to the starting point in Boxhorn.
