Welcome to the Éislek

This page is for staff working with visitors across the Éislek.

You'll find an overview of activities and attractions, key contacts, and answers to the questions visitors ask most often. The following topics will be covered.

Region

What is the Éislek?

The Éislek is the northern region of Luxembourg; it forms part of the Ardennes and borders Germany and Belgium. It is a very rural and peaceful area with plenty of forests, hills, rivers and small towns.

Key towns include Clervaux, Wiltz, Ettelbruck, Diekirch, Esch-sur-Sûre and Vianden. People visit this region to enjoy outdoor activities or to take advantage of its rich cultural offerings. Traditions, crafts and local festivals also shape everyday life.

In Éislek, you can also find regional produce such as oils, honey, meat and beer from small local producers, many of whom also offer guided tours.
